Start Rite PT260 Parts list

I have start rite pt260 thickness planer(240v). Recently the start capacitor failed. I’m looked to buy a replacement but can’t find any information about it. I spoke to the people at machine spares and they weren’t sure either, they asked me to take a picture of if so they could confirm some details.

However due to leak in my workshop the capacitor got wet then went pop making it impossible to retrieve any information of it.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to source another one.

If you google "What size capacitor do I need for a single-phase motor?" you should find your answer. Lots of charts and info came up for me. I seem to recall when I replaced the capacitor on my 1.5hp extractor it was not a specific rating and had some leeway.

I didn’t think of this, great idea. I just need to find out roughly how many HP the machine has and I’m golden.
