Thanks for that. It's reassuring that they do at least preserve that wonderful collection and archive.
 
There is so much history and detailed information that has been compiled already about Stanley, presumably without the benefit of that collection and archive. I'm thinking of all the timelines and type studies and the books by Clarence Blanchard etc - taking tool collecting to a level of obsessiveness way beyond my level of interest.
I expect there will be some serious Stanley scholars wanting to validate and expand what they have done already, who will be beating a path to Stanley's door.

As a commercial outfit I wonder how much they will be willing to spend on responding to such requests? Will they take a long view and set a budget for it as still 'building the brand' for the current lines?
