Have had this nice Stanley Bailey No7 Plane. It has been flattened to within about a paper thickness along its length. The blade is fairly short and I never got round to totally flattening it - I think it could probably do with replacing at some point. There is some pitting on the sole of the plane, but nothing you can feel with a fingernail (if that makes sense!?)
I polished the cap lever a while ago whilst felting with this plane. That's the reason the red paint has gone from the logo (some of it was missing already and I thought it would look smarter)
