Hi all, new to forum (been lurking a bit).

recently i acquired a stanley 45 for very little, (nothing if im honest, yes really nothing £0). problem is, as is cliche its missing parts, namely the cam rest, beading stop, and the scoring cutter assembley near the tote and of course the cutters. Im only planning to use it as a plough and match planing (tongue&grooves) i know i wont be beading or doing mouldings at all.

Now the question is, of the aforementioned missing parts, which, if any do i need for what i want to do with it.

Any other info would be useful

cheers
Donald

None of the missing parts are vital to the work you have planned. I'd simply keep my eyes peeled for the stray parts as and if they show up, but each part (Barring the cam rest) can readily be re-made on a D.I.Y. basis if ever you found them necessary but still absent.

Your source may have the relevant parts mislaid somewhere, so there's always a chance they may turn up at sometime in the future.
