Guys,

Anyone know where I can get spare parts for this model ? I can find a site that does Delta spares but what a surprise, the model I have isn't there.

The fan attached to the motor has broken and I'm not sure that super glue will cut it.

Many Thanks

Dave

unfortunately Delta were taken over by B&D who withdrew from the European market,
If you contact B&D there are very few spares available in Europe as I found out trying to get a lathe drive belt to no avail,

i'm afraid I have lost all contact numbers as it was a year ago,

Cheers Nigel

I think your delta has a lot in common with the Perform CCL, Axminster 900, Nu-tool, Draper, etc vari speed lathes so you may be able to get spares for these that will fit.

You didn't quite "lose" all of the numbers - you very kindly passed on the contact for the drive belt to me (Megadyne - 0113 238 2910):D. However, I think you said this was a belt supplier rather than a source for Delta spares? So perhaps not all the useful in this instance?

I can see Delta France in the back of the manual (33) 03 88 05 48 00 if that's any good. (The UK contact is Toolbank Specialist Services 01322 321378 but, from what's been said, they may no longer be trading Delta).

Final thought... If it's an induction motor I think I'm correct in saying that they're a fairly generic type of motor so you may find a fan from another induction motor fits.

Final final thought... Forget Super Glue. Go for epoxy.

Thanks guys,

sent an email to one place as suggested and am awaiting a reply.

Glued up with a decent glue and it seems to be holding, will have to see what its like under load.

Will have a gander at the other models and see if the parts are similar too.

Cheers

Dave

jason is correct it is very like the perform at axminster and I have obtained spares successfully through axminster a couple of years back when UI picked up a second hand delta.

Looks like part of a Reeves drive -Try Axminster they sold Perform lathe have a very similar Reeves drive - there were loads of lookey likeys with the variable speed drive a few years ago.
Be very careful when fitting the replacement they are made of some kind of brittle aluminium and tough as a salt and vinegar crisp (other flavours are available) :)
Try eBay
