Sourcing cut nails, rosehead nails. (Miss'n accomp! TY)

Hi Folks.

I would welcome recommendations for suppliers of 'cut' and 'rose head' nails, and reproduction ironmongeryl
Everything leads me back to Amazon, and I am dubious for specialised items!

rultands, believe it or not, used to do some. The other place that I have seen is Glasgow Nails (IIRC).

Not so sure on the ironmongery.

Try Marshall Brass - they have hell of a range of stuff.

Chris Schwarz has been working on the same problem.

He has found that there is a good French maker whose products are available from Dictum in Germany.

Trouble is, they are quite likely to be out of stock, thanks to the Schwarz effect, and here we go, making it worse!

I can't recommend any seller but I did a google and found Wickes do 75mm cut nails, and there's loads on e bay,
Cut and clasp nails and some rose nails.
Lee Valley do them, further away than the french suggestion but a very good outlet!
I did see some ironmongery too!

We (Ferrers Household re-enactment group) Have used some Glasgow nails and found them too brittle for clenching over. We found a solution, our own blacksmith makes them as and when required!

I'd like to thank everyone for their help. Much knowledge has been gleaned. I have found a sup[plier and ordered me a small 'cupboard supply', which should last me a few months!
