OK, you've got me - what's a hogget?
:lol:

Well I must admit I didn't know. It is a round bottom decanter. The head of the table has the base and hogget and passes the decanter round the table. Every one tops there glass up but has to pass it back round to the head of the table so he puts it back on the base. Nobody can hog the wine. In other words they can't hogget.

That's my understanding also, very specific age just before they grew their first adult teeth. But I see doing a Google throws up the Port decanter reference.
