Hi Elaine they are standard 7mm pen kit with the nib end only having 1" of material be it wood or acrylic and the top end cut the wood 1" longer or put a matching piece on the end as I have done glue the tubes in and when dry slide one over the other put them on your mandrel and turn to your desired thickness and shape

Thank you guys for your kind comments the hammer and spanner one a friend made the blank up for me on his cnc machine I
