in real life that would sound truly terrible. not least because the driving force behind it all would take up all the space under it and be rather noisy, but also because of the resonance from different instruments in 1 sound chamber, or if multiple chambers then one body, the cancelling of wave forms would destroy anything that remotely sounded like music.
 
I've thought about building a hyper-resonant string instrument, like a sitar with lots of sympathetic strings. I'm assuming loads of guys here have built harps?
