So slow ?

Why is there a big delay between pages when browsing this site, is it the site or the setting on my pc :?
I don't have the delay on other sites, I've checked the cookies and ad ons and everything seems ok :?

Sounds like perhaps something 'local' to your machine.

I had the same problem some time ago.Especially with the forum.
If i remember correctly i think i was told to do clean up of the system.
Defragment or summit :?
As you've guessed i'm no expert but it seemed to have worked.
By the way i still haven't turned any of you logs yet :roll:

I've just started turning again now I have a new lathe, my old one died after 20 months of use :lol:
I've just about sorted my new lathe (40 years old Viceroy, 2hp) but my workshop is in a bit of mess at the moment and all my turning tools need a bit of TLC but I'll soon get everything back in order :wink:

When I first used the site yesterday morning it was incredibly slow. So slow that the first time I went there the browser timed out the request. When I eventually got there it remained slow.
I left it for 10 minutes and it appeared to have sorted itself out.

I've deleted the old link in my favourites and it seems to have fixed it .
