Small yew Bowl

Yew bowl turned today, decided to leave this one chunky. Finished with sander sealer and carnauba wax buffed on the Chestnut buffing system.
Measures 10 1/2" X 3"

I felt that this piece did not need anything but a simple form to show off the wood it also has a nice feel in the hands not just the shape but the weight as well, a little heavier than my normal turning

The nice thing about using Yew, is that whatever you make it'll just keep looking better every year for the next two hundred years. Because absolutely nothing else patinates quite as beautifully as Yew!
