Silver birch for turning,,,

Hi,can anyone tell me if Silver Birch is any good for turning . Many thanks Steve....

Yes, it's delightful. Easy on the tools yet takes a finish well. I really enjoy turning Birch. The only thing is a little dull in the main, it's a pale, relatively poorly figured wood so a bit on the boring side. Having said that, it's a good candidate for taking colour in the same sense as Sycamore.
