Thanks for posting this video devonwoody - extremely interesting. While birdwatching in the Sierra Nevada a few years ago I visited both King's Canyon and The Sequoia National Parks where these huge trees grow. One of them is named General Sherman, and if I remember rightly is the oldest living organism on this planet.

I have got a photograph of my wife which I took, her arms would appear to be tied up to the trunk of a giant redwood and the idea was that if she was not a good girl I would leave her there. (she looks minute)

My mother in law was not amused when we showed her our holiday photographs and my thoughts of the scene.

One of the sights and memories of my life seeing those forests. (got a small piece of craftwork from one of the trees carved by locals).
