Searching for High torque, low speed drill at around 350rpm

Hello, we are in a search for high torque low speed drill, we need it to drill in wood with a special drill bit like this https://www.ebay.com/p/Lumberjack-Tools ... 2255379284

We are aiming at 350rpm. The closest we found is Makita DS4012/2 and some Hitachi. They are around 650rpm.

Could you recommend us some other models, and maybe some with lower rpm?

A hand drill? I wouldn't recommend it.

I personally would prefer to chuck the tool in the lathe or pillar drill and use it like that so you have greater control.

Cordless? I have the Dewalt much like this https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dewalt-DCD991P ... B01IU39YEG. If you already have batteries the unit is pretty cheap bare.

3 speed and immense torque so would have thought it should be up to the job. On Dewalts page it's rated for a 55mm drilling in wood

I have got an Eibenstock EHB 32/2.2R RL
I use it for drilling peg holes in log walls. 38mm holes up to 35 cm deep in softwood logs.

It is superb for it's purpose:
It can be reversed to back out the bit when it gets stuck
It has a torque limiter which is easy to adjust. On it's maximum setting in low gear there is as much torque as two men can hold. On it's minimum setting one man can safely use it even in rather awkward positions.
There is a Morse 3 taper on it onto which you can mount a chuck if you want. We welded a male mores taper to the bit and did away witn the vulnerable chuck. A significant improvement.
The speed is adjustable between 60 and 470 RPM. The ideal speed range for log building work.

Though it was rather costly...... but I got what I paid for. Made in Germany. In the town of Eibenstock close to the Czech border.
