Screws required !

Folks,

My window stays are held with very short screws that only penetrate into the 'stop' (if that's the right word). This means that on a windy day the open window has pulled and small cracks are appearing.

I'd like to source some longer screws, but haven't managed to find any - They are black, slotted countersunk and the head is 9mm across - it seems all suppliers I have found only have smaller headed ones.

any help would be appreciated!

What's the shank diameter?

The shank is 4mm

I had another look and the heads of some are 10mm.

Not black and not slotted, but black paint could solve the first issue!
