Why is it that Scots people get a vote on their future, but the rest of the British Isles don't get a chance to say whether they want Scotland to be part of Great Britain or not?

Indeed. And why is the outcome quite likely to be decided by a bunch of sixteen year olds who couldn't tell hay from a bull's foot? :?

Scotland - Independence and Royal Mail.
As whether Scotland gets independence is likely to dictate what I pay to post something to Scotland, I consider that to be perfectly legitimate, being neither Party political, irrelevant or off thread.

Given the scarcity of outlets for woodworking-related (and other specialist) products up here, I guess Scottish residents are likely to have to pay substantially more in carriage costs, leaving aside any other currency issues, when ordering from England, should the worst happen.

Your consideration is ill-judged. With regard to RM do you post a lot to Scotland?

As the price difference could quite large (particularly on parcels) if there is a yes vote my guess is that some accommodation will be be found.

We've been here before, I now realise. Forty years ago, by the look of it.
