Simon Hope Rotary Sanding ?
Has anybody tried Hopes Complete pro-sander kit ?
I would value any thoughts/evaluation of this system,please.

I have one of the kits from S.H. CHJ, late of this parish, recommended it rather than the rotary devices as with a drill driver you have the freedom to sand a particular spot with the lathe stationary. He was correct, in my eyes at least.

I used it on a wood turning course and loved it - received it for Christmas, but not used since… main advantage - it leaves many less scratches so is far better than just sandpaper

I had one of these for years, and use it quite a bit. In fact I need to replace the foam pads. It’s great on the outside of a bowl, where only the central area of the wheel contacts the wood. On the inside of a bowl I have to be careful not to sand a rut with the edge of the wheel.

I took an old caster off a chair that was on its way to the tip. A bit of butchery, a bit of 2x1 as a handle, a bit of old mouse mat glued to a simple turned spacer, bit of velcro glued to that. Not as nice as a proper one but works fine for the rare occasions I use it.
