Ryobi Airstrike Nailer problems?

Hi,

I'm just about to return my second Ryobi nailer in the last six months. Both tools have had very light use but both developed the same problem -

They don't fire nails ... that's to say the machine seems to whirr and get ready to fire but doesn't actually fire the things.

Both machines worked fine at time of purchase but after a little while they have both developed this whirring then not firing fault.

So I'm wondering if it's something I'm doing with the tool or if it's a more general fault.

Anyone else had problems with these things?

Similar problem here with my Ryobi Airstrike nailer
I put it down to not being used enough
Half a dozen tries into scrap timber and it works fine
Altering the strength settings -- there are two that I know of -- while faffing with it may help; not sure
