I sense a bit of animosity towards rutlands.
Are they to be avoided?
I have never had a problem with them, however my dealings with them were over 6 years ago. Search the forum as lots of members have had bad customer care with them. :(

I've bought stuff from them over the years and never had any problems.

I know a few people have had problems and it doesn't take much for places like this to spread the bad news?

I have bought from Rutland over the past 6yrs or so, with no problems with goods or service. Perhaps a little expensive, but sometimes the only place to obtain some items.

I have had no problems and buy off them regularly, however they sell a lot of cheap rubbish so you have to be careful and newbies often get stung, which results in a high proportion of woodworkers having a negative impression...
