Hi can anyone advise on the best way to Finnish sawn pine. Don't want to plane it to much as I'm looking for the rustic look.

Planed and sanded pine, I've been using a stain and then wax once dry, but not sure the same process will be ok on rough sawn finished pine.
Thanks in advance for any info. :D

You are in luck. Tonight was the AGM of the PHG and I put this question to them. The answer (unanimous) was creosote.

PS no but seriously - anything might do, its just a question of whether or not you (or your client) will like it.
There's all sorts of textured possibilities. I've seen it done where its gone over with a blow lamp to burn off the top stuff, wire brushed for the loose stuff, paint rubbed in, then wiped off the tops.
Experiment.
