Rocking horse..

i have been asked to cut out a rocking horse head and fit it to its body, i wish i had never agreed at this moment in time, i have been sent a pattern by another forum member but it doesn't look quite right on the body, anyone have another pattern for one or know where there might be one, i have to turn the handles too and i haven't used my lathe for over a year now..

Steve, have you tried searching Google images? Search on "rocking horse woodworking patterns" and while there might not be much in actual patterns, it should be simple to make a pattern from any that takes your fancy.

How about any of the heads on the ones on this page?

that looks like a nice picture martin, thank you, could just be what i needed, i want to try and clear this order before christmas but i'm not sure i can, thank you..

Edit: have now just re-drawn the shape and it looks great, thanks Martin i can now move forward..
