record power planer thicknesser pt 260

Old age don't come on it's own i have had the record pt 260 planer thicknesser for a few years and i have just realised i don't know or i have forgotten what the switch in the photo with the red arrow pointing at it for please put me out of my misery and remind me again ALAN

It's the function switch, used to set for planing or thicknessing before use.

I know the feeling, if you don't do something regularly it's like starting all over again isn't it.

Great little work horse that. I had one for 5 years and it never blinked regardless what I threw at it.

just found out the sealed unit that goes in to the switch box on the planer as broke where can i purchase another cheaply and what do i look for as i can not see any writing on the plug in the photo .Please don't worry about the plug with the white block connectors on as i only tested the plug like that and that's why i wish to purchase another
