Hi everyone,

Well last year I got my fine dust extraction sorted but now I want to have an additional extractor for my Inca bandsaw (which is still in bits). I have a little henry hoover type vaccum and I want to connect this only to my bandsaw. I don't really want to have a go at making another cyclone (I've tried and it failed eventually) and just want to go and buy one off the shelf. I've seen a few models but was wondering if someone could recomend which one to go for.

I don't have a lot of room I should add so ideally the smaller the better.

I bought a Dust Commander for about £19 last year from eBay. It's hooked up to a big Nilfisk vacuum and works very well.

I have the Dust commander and the Dust Commander DLX purchased from Amazon and they both work well connected to Metabo 150mm orbital sanders and cheap Triton vacuums.

I must say that Jon's design looks interesting and could I suspect be scaled up to a 44 gallon drum with a 6 inch extractor, I might just try that.
