I have 2 plastic water containers that I have used in my camper van

They look a bit grotty inside with some scale and green algae

Can anyone recommend a cleaner that will deal with both problems and leave the containers in a condition that I can use them for drinking water again

Thanks

Allen, we use a product called Puriclean to clean the caravan water system out at the beginning of each season, should be available from any caravan/camping shop.

I think Puriclean will definitely do the trick. Especially if applied with the right dosage. I hope you will get your tanks as clean as new.

I use sodium metabisulfite for cleaning & sterilizing my home brew containers, works well & quite inexpensive.

What's wrong with household bleach. Just soak it until the bleach does its work.
It won't harm the plastic, although it takes a lot of rinsing afterwards. Easy enough to tell when it's gone. You don't smell the bleach anymore. (Not for homebrew I might add!)
