Hi All

have a slightly awkward customer....but I am sure there is a workaround for this one
they want a radiator cover with horizontal oak rails 80mm deep and then mirror 80mm deep (rinse and repeat)
I can easily deal with the multiple rails and end stiles (grooved for the mirror, with expansion gap)
but
how do I design in some way to let the hot air out?
I can put the usual 20mm gap below the shelf but in my opinion it needs some more air gaps in the front
they have agreed to some perforated side panels, but not a visible gap at the front apart from below shelf
I will have a decent gap at bottom to let the cold air in
I could turn the job down but I think could be a good earner
never could see the point of radiator covers but the customer is always right
Steve

Just make it to their spec. I agree with you that radiator covers are madness but also as you say, the customer is always right!

You could quote for the job and make it clear that if they do change their minds and want it changed, you'll be the best man for the job, as you'll be the only one who knows where the special concealed fixings are!
Two jobs bring more profit than one.
