Question about Rip fence.

Just would like to know if there is anyone who has made there own rip fence for a table saw or could recommend a good replacement as the one that came with mine looks as if a chimpanzee was asked to build it . i'm not happy with it so if any of you could help i would appreciate it .

Yes I have. I made a clone of the besermeyer fence and it transformed my old B&Q special. Cost was around £50 if I remember correctly. Here is the finished article:

They both look good is your one mailee got aluminium sandwiched between it and i guess its laminated mdf or ply :?:
 
It has a large 'T' square that it uses to clamp on the rail at the front. Rear end is free but is rock solid in use. Being heavy steel it is hard to move it in use. :wink:
