Proxxon long neck grinder

I watched George Foweraker demonstrate some texturing and colouring at the Botanical gardens in Carmarthen yesterday, and am now quite tempted to buy a Proxxon Long Neck Angle Grinder to try and replicate his texturing. The best price I've found so far is from Chronos, which includes a carving blade (to be confirmed)

Firstly, do any of you know of a cheaper source? and secondly, is there a similar machine on the market? I'm not aware of any, so it looks like Proxxon have a captive audience here.

Hi Aled,
The other alternative is the Arbortech mini grinder. They are a little more expensive than the proxxon tools but much more powerful and robust but I guess it depends what you plan to use it for.

I would recommend the arbortech TCT industrial blade http://www.axminster.co.uk/arbortech-arbortech-industrial-50mm(2)-tct-mini-cutter-prod821480/. They are less agressive than the chainsaw type blades and leave a better finish if sharpened well.
