Posting photos

Hi all,
Quick question on photos, can the photos be slitly under 640x480 and each photo just under .3 of a meg in size?
Also do I upload the pictures directly to this site or upload them to photobucket then provide a link from there.

I take it you are referring to the competition pictures, are your pictures a different aspect ratio to the 640 X 480 format?

Any image uploaded to the forum must have a file size less than 256kb (.256mb) to be accepted by the bandwidth use limit set on the server.

But with only moderate compression as a .jpg an image 640 X 480 comes out at somewhere near 50kb, and even one 1024X768 is only 110kb or so.

Images uploaded as attachments to forum post are best if the intention is for them to be always available to future viewers of the thread as they will saved on the forum server.
