Seasons greetings everyone,
I bought a 2nd hand, little used iTECH model SK-30FD, single phase, 240 volt, 1HP power feed with 60mm x 120mm dia. drive rollers on the 20th of Dec.
The base mount is much larger than the mounting holes tapped in my spindle table, see photo holes for these are positioned in the red triangle. The iTech comes with a template for tapping mounting holes.

What I'd like to know where would the best position for the mount be, I'm thinking close to left hand corner? Which way round should I have the mount, perhaps refer to photos of complete powerfeed on floor.
I attach some photos, can only post 4 max so others in 2nd part of post.

The positioning of a power feed mount is generally determined by the length of the horizontal arm. I'm guessing that the power feed you've bought has a significantly longer arm than the CoMatic which the spindle moulder was designed to take and for which the mounting block holes are already drilled and tapped. If indeed your horizontal arm is longer than the CoMatic then, should you wish and there's no obstruction beneath the table, you can position your mounting block a little further outboard (i.e. to the left).

I don't understand your question about "which way round" the mount should be? It looks like there are four holes in a square pattern, so there's no specific orientation. Even if there was the main vertical pole supporting the power feed is free to rotate so you can position it anyway you like. Or am I missing something?

I'll say the same thing that I said in response to your last power feed question. Axminster know their spindle moulders far better than any of us, and they're pretty good at following up on technical questions, so it would be well worth talking to them before getting your drill out!

Good luck!.

You want the mount with the tightening bar to the left - if thats where you find it easiest to undo.

The original holes look awfully close to the fence.

You want to be looking at the underside of the table to make sure the holes clear any edge or intermediate strengthening webs or any other gear mounted to the underside

OK cheers Custard. RobinBHM. The reach is 210mm - 670mm. The mount is a rectangle not a square. I have considered checking under the table to make sure no obstructions there.

As Custard says, I positioned mine with the base orientation so that the Tommy bar will rotate fully off the end of the table on the LHS. I can both reach it and quickly adjust the position of the PF without banging my hand or the Tommy bar fouling the table. If it fouls the table as it's rotated the chances are that someday you will take a short cut and not tighten it sufficiently.

OK, cheers for that.
