Does anyone own one of these or has used one of these.

I've had several Rutlands special offer emails about these in the past. Never seen anything like it before!

About to embark on a handful of props and scenery bits and it strikes me as something that could have some use. Not about to rush out and buy one - just curious. In theory they look like a clever compromise - but are they actually any good?

No experience, but that looks to be a tool i'd buy as i cant justify a full size bobbin sander and putting sanding drums in my pillar drill isn't always the right solution.

My thoughts exactly - something that be tucked away until needed - I think that's the appeal. It can be set up when a batch of something is being made and then go away after. Not taking up a space in the shed all the time.

I would get on the Rutlands mailing list - they often drop the price on this one.

I think this is ideal for a small workshop, be good to hear from anyone who owns one.
