Also, I do my financial business on an entirely different machine, which isn't switched online until I need to conduct financial affairs. It's inconvenient in a way, but at least safe.

Why would I need to install Windows each time :?:

not windows itseolf, but its updates there are generally three or four updates every week so if your computer hasnt been on line for a while there will be a shedload, and you'll need to install them, all before doing any transactions as some of them will be critical for security.
