Just wondering what weird and wonderful animals people have as pets.

I currently have two little dogs, a 3 month old kitten and a little white Call Duck. All of them live very happily together in the house and play and sleep together.

I would (if I had the space) like a couple of pygmy goats, a donkey and a Guinea Pig sanctuary.

What do you lot have living with you? (Wives/husbands and kids are NOT pets!)

Nice collection you have there!

We have three cats at the moment.

I've thought of other animals but three cats is enough to deal with at times with vets etc. I understand the Pygmy goat thing, they are very cute and I should imagine quite entertaining at times!

I'd really like a Dog at some point in the future but vet fees are giving me pause for thought on that.

Great picture Penny.

This is Alfie just after his operation. He said before that quote 'he just felt that was in the wrong body'.

This tried to live with us for a week. It tried to get in every day, but got fed up trying.

Of course SWMBO counts Roger! They're the wildest of all wild life init

That looks like a Hoopoe John. If it is...awesome...they're very rare here (obviously not there though) :)

It is a hoopoe Bob. We get a lot of them here at this time of year and this one visited us each afternoon for a week and went all the way around te house either trying to get in or looking for insects under our huge windows. they are wonderful looking birds, but can you imagine what it must be like to know that every time you open yer mouth to say owt all that's going to come out is "hoop, hoop, hoop"! Some very it and do 4 hoops, some 2, so there is variety in't there?

But for all that they are lovely, shy birds and we love to see them. Not sure what kind of pet they would make?

My 12 year old has 4 guinea pigs - 4 year old boar, year old sow and her two daughters.
They are actually pretty nice little pets, even if the paraphenalia has basically taken over the garden!
If I can, I'll get her to take a photo of the little chubbers

There I was, working away in my workshop making a child sized market barrow as the rain fell outside (the shavings are from shaping the handles with a plane and a spoke shave). As I looked out the window at my little white duck, Bonnie, the rain turned into a heavy hailstorm. Now Bonnie doesn't like hail. With a loud "Quack quaaaaaack" she ran at full speed and hopped in the workshop door for shelter:

But at some stage, the neighbour's rabbit, chickens and ferret have all visited the workshop!

Here's my 'girls', Pebbles (b&W) and Gibby. 2 yrs old. Pebbles is a soppy wuss-bag and Gibby is a killing machine. Here Pebbles is 'tolerating' being mauled as Gibby sinks her teeth into her neck!! Poor Pebbles :(
