Damn........I so badly wanted those pen blanks! I can offer myself the solice that if I had tried for the next week I wouldn't have got the answer.

Well done Tulsk!

Well Done Tulsk!

(I was just about to type 'Silver Birch canker', honestly....I was walking down the garden looking at the trees and spotted a Silver Birch, it didn't register until I thought to myself 'wonder what that would be like with a bit of canker in it?' - and then it hit me so I ran in here to post the winning name but I was too late, Tulsk had beaten me. Oh well, best man won, no hard feelings and all that, mutter, mutter, mutter....)

Well done Tulsk!

I'd never have got that in a million years!

Another wood to be on the look out for, it's stunning!

Hi Chris,
I don't think I merit a prize and thus putting you out of pocket. After all it took me 3 guesses and I have a nut bowl infront of me that I carved out of the very same stuff a few months ago! Besides I don't turn pens and would only end up giving them away at my turning club.
Best new year regards and sorry for late reply (been on nights last 2) John
