Hey, I might have thought misery loves company when I saw the pictures and "had to share," but I had to clean the drool off my keyboard twice.

The jointer would have been real nice the other day, too. I had just the day before scrubed, leveled and smoothed a 7' top using basically the LV #6 and my Ohio #8.

One with the mouth open (Ohio #8) and one with the mouth fairly tight (LV #6). Of course, the LV #6 was last set for a more coarse cut last time I used it. And the LV BD planes adjust fairly quick and easy. But I would have rather turned a knob.

Oh well.

Someday!!!

When I was 13 and thrown outta the house and began selling, well, illegal things, someone once called me a pusher.

Guess the title stuck (the other didn't).

Well I done the BUT wrong, is seems. #-o Though it was a damn close run thing. By putting the #386 marginally further forward than I'd have liked (The stop on the fence casting isn't absolutely level with the top of the machined side, but overlaps instead. Don't tell me, I already know what a sad case I am... ), I was able to get it reasonably satisfactorily fitted.

But as you can see, it's a bit of a struggle to get a grip (I know how it feels).

I haven't actually used it to see if it'll withstand the slings and arrows, 'cos I've got a bad back at the moment and that puppy is no featherweight, but it feels pretty firm.

The other two pics are for Philly's benefit.

Cheers, Alf
