Hi Guys,
I'm trying to get a collection of old wood working videos together on my blog so for I have the 1923 swedish one and the 1940 american educational one.
If anyone can point me in the direction of some others it would be greatly appreciated.
Regards Bob
I can't remember how I found it (probably from a post on here somewhere) but this is a wonderful 26 minute film from Vermont on how to make a timber sled:
http://www.folkstreams.net/film,187 - it's good not just for the techniques, but for the whole laid back rural approach to knowing how to do things the right way.
The site has more good stuff - such as this 5 minute short on the same subject:
And how many little Elves have you got making hundreds of bookshelves and cleaning the workshop while you sit there with a cuppa, fiddling with loads of ancient video's?

One of the great things about running your own business is you are not restricted to an 8 hr day, I work 2 jobs, one in the workshop and then when I get home I do the office work, JOY!!!
I think this is a wonderful project...I look forward to bookmarking the archive page and spending many a rainy, cold day watching these gems from the past.
