I've used them to make a marking knife and a split screwdriver for saw nuts.
 
Good for site work and fast drilling in drill drivers. Nice to use on jobs where there is fear of damaging the tool or on abrasive things like chipboard.
 
I agree with AndyT they're worth hanging on to for the odd little job or tool that would benefit from a bit of high carbon steel rather than mild steel.

I've reground them to make marking knives and cutters for cutting gauges.

My first pair of coarse thread chasers for the lathe were made from a couple I attacked with a saw file - endless possibilities TBH.
