old pillar/bench drill - help with identification please?

I took a picture of an old drill in a friends shed and said that I would research it for them.

I thought that I'd would be able to read the logo from the picture but unfortunately can't

So, no prizes, but can anyone tell me what make/model this is please?

I forgot to mention that it was with a Myford ML7 lathe - so is likely to be an engineering drill. I had hoped that the logo would be easily recognisable (but I've been trawling through images of old drills without luck). It was also well made - if I recall the head was cast.
