Today I fitted the tall oak units for my customer. It took a full day due to the large unit having to be scribed into the coving and assembled on site. I had made a scribe panel for one side as it sat into the corner of the coving at one end and the corner was too ornate to scribe around! (OK, I took the cowards way out in the end) 
:lol: It looked good in the end and was worth all the effort.
This was the offending article on the top left. I scribed the panel so it just left enough room for the cornice to abut the room cornice.
This photo didn't come out too well even with the flash on but it just shows the inside of the unit.
The slim book case went much better even though it was a tight squeeze in the alcove.
This also had two thin scribing panels at each side even though they will hardly be seen.
Both columns had to be scribed to the skirting at the bottom, and it only just fitted behind the window sill! Now that was more luck than judgement. :lol:
Customer was very happy with the units and has asked for two more shelves for the large unit and an oak dressing table mirror to match their bedroom furniture.
They have ordered their own handles which I will be fitting when I return with the shelves and mirror. It also looks like it may have gained me another customer as I have another furniture building job to look at around the corner from them. All in all a very tough day but a very profitable one.
