Hi folks

I am in the middle of making a oak kitchen, which is a first for me so quite a bit of head scratching going on :D i want to join a oak door to the frame i have made so it opens as one . Dont want to put metal straps on the back or screw & plug it, looking for something more descreet



Anyone got any ideas?

Drill & counterbore each side, fix with screws and plug with matching pellets. May need washers as spacers.

If the frame is not glued up yet then dowels or biscuits could be used.

If I were making from scratch then I would make the door members 2mm wider than the rest of the kitchen, route a 2mmx4-5mm rebate round the door to create a shadow line then biscuit into the frame.
