I am putting together a table of timber yards, with information from members who have actually visited the yards. Can you please help with information about Richard Potter Timber @ Nantwich?

Are they hobby friendly?

Can you self-select or is it by appointment?

Will they deliver?

Do they have online ordering?

Are prices displayed at the yard?

Do they sell domestic hardwoods?

Do they sell other hardwoods?

Do they sell softwoods?

Do they sell manufactured boards?

Do they sell turning blanks?

Are they a one-man-band or a small, medium or large yard?

Will they cut to length to fit in your vehicle?

Do you have any comments?

Will they deliver? Yes, at a cost I believe (never used the service myself)

Do they have online ordering? No

Are prices displayed at the yard? Don't think so, but the prices are on their website

Do they sell domestic hardwoods? Don't know

Do they sell other hardwoods? Yes

Do they sell softwoods? Yes

Are they a one-man-band or a small, medium or large yard? Family business, father and daughter I think

Will they cut to length to fit in your vehicle? Yes

Proper old fashioned timber yard, wonderful!

Unfortunately you can no longer self select. The last time 8 went they told me it was due to their insurance no longer permitting it.
They have a pamphlet on the counter with the prices.
They do sell domestic hardwoods.

They cut to what ever size you like, as well as planing if required.

First visit there this week. No problem with self selecting, and I was welcome to browse as I wanted.
