Martin , sorry for not posting earlier I am playing catchup now .

Nothing trivial about those Trivets  . How long did the last one take to make .

Thanks for posting .

Eugene, I can't be sure how long it took because I have to keep stopping, but it was a long time, possibly in the region of 4 or 5 hours. Towards the very end I suddenly realised the blade was blunt and changing it speeded it up no end. I don't do enough to spot those nuances early enough so I just struggle on wondering what's wrong. I must say, cutting these trivets has been great practice, but I am worried that when I go back to cutting portraits and drop from a #7 blade to a #3, I will start breaking blades again.

Martin.

Cheers Steve. I'll give it a go with stain when funds allow, but I've got the pants pocket disease, nomoneycosis, at the moment. More important is a couple of new bearings for the link arm on the Hegner as the rattle from one of them is annoying the life out of me. Chinese rubbish!

Martin.

Great work Martin.
No your blade breaking days are over, sorry I forgot I still break blades from time to time.
The saw scroller’s curse. :(

Take care.
