Does anyone have both that can comment of the noise level. I'm using my RSDE in the house as the extractor for the sander and saw. Apart from being a pain to drag about, it's pretty noisy. Is the PP workshop vac quieter or not?

A quick search will show you the test of noise for a PP vac

I have a Performance Pro and will test that tonight if I rremember

Sorry, but no idea what an RSDE is - if it is a typical dust/chip extractor, then it has an induction motor and is LOADS quieter than the PP vac which has a series wound motor

I have an RSDE1, which is basically the same as the 2 but with a slighlty smaller capacity (I think), It rates at about 82db, which is probably on the high side of average for a HPLV type extractor such as this.

I have both and, sorry, the Pro is a noisy so-an-so. Pretty close to the Record in volume.
Hope this helps

Thanks people. Looking at the levels i'm not going to be getting a quieter workshop vac with the PP.
