Newbie - anywhere to try out saws?

Hi experts

Are there any exhibitions or such coming up in UK where I can try out different scroll saws? It's a lot of money to spend without seeing/trying the item.

Also I have possibility of buying an old Delta 40-540 variable speed quicker saw? useful start for beginner or best put money to a new one?

I would buy the Delta, it has the quickset blade clamps fitted which in my opinion are the best clamps. I have one and a 560 as well.

Thank you for yr responses. I've bought the Delta which I'm really pleased with at the moment, it purrs like a kitten!

Also thanks to Woodaxed comment found out my local Axminster had a scroll saw day this weekend.
