The archive film collection of the British Council is now digitised and available on Vimeo. The first film I've watched is "Steel" a technicolor production from 1945, as sampled by Jarvis Cocker in his compilation piece, as mentioned here.

I have just watched the steel making one! unbelievable! the chaps sure earned there money, like the chap at 27:12 removing off the scale with his foot!
