I finished my little project with two small cut outs that needed to be filled in bright red, to look like blood. I shall be posting the finished item on my facebook page by lunchtime. Wooden Crafts from Wales. I was wondering though. What I did on the second one was to filled the back with tight bond mixed with scroll saw sawdust from the same piece of wood and again on the front, when dry I sanded it off and was very pleased with the result. I then painted over the two cutouts with Humbrol smooth and again the result was not to bad, although it could have been better. When I do the next one I was thinking of recessing the filler by a couple of mm and then when dry filling the cavity with the Humbrol smooth. What I am not sure about is will the paint, being that thick, dry okay say over 24 hours. I thought it would look really nice if I slightly over filled the cavities to give it a domed effect.

Geoff.

At the end of your post, you mentioned the drying time for the paint.
I have the long haired bosses (wife) old hair drier, that I use to speed up paint drying time.

Take care.

Many thanks Steve. I have never been able to get my head into gear trying to post pics. I have no problem on the American forum. I think it may be the fact I have an i mac, which is not compatible with several window applications.

Chris. You are a genius, I never even thought of using a hair dryer. Well done that man.

Geoff , and Steve , good collaboration there . Geoff .that is a beautiful piece of art , well done and between you thanks for posting .

I'm afraid that last week I had to cancel my FB subscription because I had pages of stuff from people I didn't know and because a lot of it was to me a bit over the top and had no bearing on what I had joined for in the beginning . I have notified my family and some other friends. So if anyone here posts to FB I would appreciate if you could post on here as well . I know Geoff and Steve put their art on FB as does my daughter her page is Little Divels Creations .

Thanks to all .
