I'm going to Harrogate from Edinburgh and was wondering if anyone wanted to go but was dithering due to transport. I'm going in an MPV so can take a couple of peeps and if they buy anything have plenty of room to bring it back

That must be a good 3 hours drive at least as it's a couple from mine, going to be a long day.

Not certain I can go this year but when I do I have to detour as my brother comes with me but if you use the A68 / A697 route you drive past my house in Longhorsley. If going it will be Saturday but I'm usually back by about 5 pm and whichever day you're going if you need a cuppa on the way back you're more than welcome to drop in, just send me a pm for the address and my mobile.

PS I'd suggest you don't use the Tyne Tunnel as it's hit and miss because of the long term major roadworks, I can occasionally get through in 10 minutes but mostly much much longer.
