what is the difference between the two types , just handles or type of steel?

the mortice chisels are similar to the different bevel edge chisels, cabinet makers and the general ones, the cabinetmakers have a much thinner blade, the 8882 mortice chisels are slightly more delicate compared to the 8112,s in my opinion, and also obviously have the different handle but same chrome manganese steel blades.

Different handles ... Matthew lent me one of each ... and I bought a set. Am very pleased with them, great tools and a very reasonable price I felt.

Correct!

The only difference is the handles. The 8112's are part of the standard range, the 8882's are a special that they make for us, hence they are a touch dearer.
