My turnings

Bought a lathe last Nov and have been making about 3 items per week. Here are some of the better ones. Hope you like.

Spalted beech with friction polish finish. Beech was not spalted too much though and there were quite a few soft spots i had to use superglue on. I think this is one of my favourite shapes i have made so far

Elm finished with friction polish.

Small box in ash with friction polish.

Iroko polished outside with friction polish, inside is left rough straight from bowl gouge and finished with danish oil. I like the contrasting textures and also finish.

Utile finished with friction polish.

Walnut finished with friction polish.

Elm, friction polish.

Oak, friction polish. I like to give these to my friends, usefull for putting a note on desk.

Elm, friction polish. Also with an inlay of brass powder in fiberglass, first time for a little carving on my bowls.

Yew, friction polish.

This is probably my favorite piece so far. Elm, danish oil.

I think this is one of my favourite shapes i have made so far

I like the proportions of those pieces also.
