Much too cold now in the garage to get any work done,no heating in there.

Got this one finished a few weeks ago.
This is before I put any oil on the project. Western red cedar mostly and tulip wood for the white parts.

This is with the oil finish applied.

Looking forward to the next project when it gets a little bit warmer to go in the garage.

Thankyou. It doesn’t seem as cold here today as yesterday but I’ve got a job I’m doing inside the house so maybe I’m not feeling the cold as much. I know they have forecast some very cold weather to come so it will be a while before I’m in the garage again..

Thanks again and stay warm.

Hi, looks great, love the way the colour has darkened with the oil. Is it a pattern anyone can get ?
It’s so cold here in Norfolk I tried to glue a piece up befor the garage heater had warmed up and the glue was like toothpaste.

I think it’s bitterly cold everywhere now. Much too cold to be in a garage with no heater and the door wide open as I normally work.

The pattern is out of a book. I think it’s judy gale Roberts or Kathy wise. The books in the garage at the mo so not sure which one it is. I’m not going in there to look yet lol. :D

The oil I used was Danish oil that I got from Screwfix. It makes a big difference to the wood and I now prefer to use the oil instead of spray varnish.

I’ve brought my wood glue in the house. I remembered having the toothpaste problem last year.
