Mould or marks - plywood advice needed

Hi everyone, I’m renovating a set of drawers (mid century I think) and the plywood in all the drawers has some discolouration. Is anyone able to identify what it is? It seems to be in the wood rather than on it so I’m hoping it’s natural and not mould. All thoughts appreciated!

those are normal wood grain markings and nothing to worry about

You can tell if it's mould by seeing if it'll rub off with a paper towel and also by the smell. If you dry the ply and keep it dry, the mould will die, as it needs moisture to live and grow.
